ANGEL WING CHAIR I danish style armchair
Identical copies of a Danish style armchair given by my father to my mother when I was born in 1963.
Hand crafted in solid French and American walnut. The armrests, curved and rounded in each plane, were hand planed and sculpted using different arced spokeshaves and scrapers. The curved up top edge accompanies the arm, offering comfort and ease to the elbows.
The legs are turned on a lathe; the cross pieces are profiled to lighten the aesthetics while maintaining strength. True to Danish design, this armchair is lightweight, fairly delicate and yet very solid and stable. The angle of inclination for the back is optimum.
The springs are new, imported from Denmark and are identical to the original ones. These armchairs can be made to order in the wood of choice.
The cushions, made by Daniel Perret www.atelierdanielperret.com using Raf Simmons Kvadrat fabric, are modifiable: fabric, thickness and size of the foam.
