These chests of drawers, “Blues Brothers” and “Autumn Leaves”, may be custom made and personalised by changing the drawer fronts to your desire. Amongst the gallery of photographs on this page, we see the “Autumn Leaves version – shades of walnut and the “Blues Brothers” version – hues of blue. Both pay tribute to Miles Davis, Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi.

The structure, with its “floating” top and its mid century modern inspired feet, is made from walnut. The feet are in solid walnut while the structure is in slatted wood, veneered in walnut, using a motif of the veneer which runs in a mirrored pattern over the pair of chests of drawers.

The drawers are built in solid sycamore, the dovetails are hand made on all twelve drawers. With ultra strong drawers slides, they benefit from super soft, “kiss landing” closing.

Le drawer heights vary from the shallowest at the top – for keeping jewellery, watches, accessories, ties… – to deepest at the bottom for chunky jumpers.

CHESTS OF DRAWERS “BLUES BROTHERS” : the facades of the drawers are stained with varying intensities of a hand blended blue giving a beautiful colour gradient. The edges of the drawer fronts are also stained tone on tone.

CHESTS OF DRAWERS “AUTUMN LEAVES” : in this version, I chose to stain the drawer fronts in tones that exist naturally in walnut and which are a continuation of the main walnut structure.
